Sunday Morning Worship Services:
Our worship services invite the presence of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The 8:00 am service is Rite I from the Book of Common Prayer; we often enjoy harp music and sung Psalms in this service.

The 10:30 am service incorporates extended time of musical worship; over the years we have learned worship music which proclaims the goodness and reality of God provides a kind of spiritual 'air cover' for the service that follows; thus our worship team begins to praise the God of Creation and King of the Universe at 10:15 am; we encourage you to come early and join in the proclamation. We follow the Liturgy of the Word and Passing of the Peace with more music, this time focusing on the week's scriptures as we prepare for the Liturgy of the Table and the presence of the Lord. One biblical meaning of the word worship is "to draw near so as to kiss" and so we seek to enter a place of intimacy with our Lord and Savior.

At the Eucharist the worship team and healing team are invited forward to share prophetic words or visions for the congregation and the healing team offers prayer after the 10:30 service concludes.

Wednesday Night Teachings:
These usually include a soup supper followed by a teaching by Father Chuck. Over the past several years this has included The Ragamuffin Gospel: Good News for the Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt Out by Brennan Manning; one Lent we studied The Heavenly Man: The Remarkable True Story of Chinese Christian Brother Yun; and Father Chuck did a remarkable job of distilling the complex and insightful teaching of French philosopher Rene Girard.

We have also run The Alpha Course several times and been blessed by many teachings from Dr. Suuqiina and Rev. Qaumaniq Suuqiina; we recently hosted Ancient Paths and look forward to repeating that in 2011.

Blessed Relationships & Teachings:
St Jude's is richly blessed by ongoing relationships with amazing people of God. We are blessed to share ministry with Temple Beth Emet; Rabbi Mark Sobel has generously given of his time to teach Hebrew to members of St Jude's and both congregations are currently working together with Family Promise of San Fernando Valley, jointly hosting homeless families at St Jude's parish hall.

We have participated in Prayerwalking with teachings from our friend Fern Noble of the International Reconiliation Coalition and Steve Hawthorne of Waymakers; we have used Steve's powerful little book Seek God for the City for many years now. We have hosted Tamara Winslow's annointed teaching and singing on several occasions; we have hosted combined teachings with Chinese and Korean churches; God so longs for every tongue and tribe and nation to enter into glorious relationship with Him.

St Jude's as a community has traveled to learn from Dr. Paul Cox of Aslan's Place and attend Dennis Cramer's School of Prophecy and in 2004 our parish wardens traveled to Ireland with Grand Chief Lynda Prince and the 120 Drums of Thunder.
